Patriots crush Cardinals

Matt Cassel was impressive as a backup at quarterback, throwing two touchdowns to lead the New England Patriots to a 30-3 win over the Arizona Cardinals Saturday.

New England came into the game as a 3.5-point favorite at home and easily made good on covering the spread. The game's final score fell UNDER the posted total (37).

Cassel completed 14-of-20 pass attempts for 192 yards and two touchdowns and Tom Brady was successful on 15-of-20 for 149 yards. Stephen Gostkowski booted three field goals in the win as New England evens its preseason record to 1-1.

Kurt Warner threw for 58 yards, completing just 6-of-9 pass attempts as the Cardinals fall to 1-1 with the loss.
