Torres activated by Jackets
COLUMBUS, Ohio(AP) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated
forward Raffi Torres off injured reserve, and he is expected to
play in the club's game on Thursday night in Dallas.

General manager Scott Howson announced the move Thursday
morning.

Torres, who broke a bone in his face against Detroit on Nov. 11,
has eight goals and an assist in 17 games this season. He ranks
second on the club in goals, and his four power play goals rank
tied for 14th in the NHL.

In his first season with the Blue Jackets a year ago, he scored
12 goals and had eight assists in 51 games while battling
several nagging injuries. The Toronto native has 87 goals and 68
assists and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +2 in 375 career
NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and New York
Islanders.
