CINCINNATI(AP) -- The Bengals have released tight end Ben Utecht
and receiver Antonio Chatman, both of whom were out for the
season with injuries.
Utecht suffered a major concussion during training camp at
Georgetown College and was taken off the field on a stretcher.
He stayed overnight in a hospital for observation, and his
symptoms were slow to diminish. He was placed on the injured
reserve list on Aug. 31.
Chatman suffered a severe ankle injury during practice and went
on injured reserve on Sept. 5.
The Bengals also signed safety Brannon Condren to their practice
squad on Tuesday. He opened the season with Indianapolis, but
was waived on July 29.
